Mobile Jumbotron Video Display - California Capital AirshowMobile Jumbotron Video Display featuring airshow performer segments, sponsor placements, and live video feed from the US Air Force Thunderbirds |

We delivered a terrific capability with a Mobile Jumbotron Video Display at the 2009 California Capital Airshow, September 12 and 13th, held at the Sacramento Mather Airport in Rancho Cordova, CA. Being our hometown airshow, we had already compiled a tremendous inventory of footage for the featured airshow performers. We also incorporated select sponsor placements displayed periodically between video segments. Then to top the whole thing off, we partnered with the US Air Force video team to take a live feed off their cameras and bring the audience into the Thunderbird formation - even into the cockpit. Here is a visual story case study of our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display at the California Capital Airshow (CCA).
Mobile Jumbotron Video Display with the Patriots at CCA
In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is right at the crowd-line, at show center in front the parked Thunderbirds, playing the Patriots Jet Team featurette segment, at the same time their signature Black Diamond makes a low pass with their trademark Red-White-and-Blue smoke on.
Mobile Jumbotron Video Display playing to a large CCA crowd
In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is right at the crowd-line with an audience that was in the tens-of-thousands. It makes for great eye-candy for the audience in between acts, plus has their attention to present the sponsor branding or message.
Mobile Jumbotron Video Display playing an airshow performer feature segment
In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is playing a feature segment for one of the many airshow performers who flew that day - in this example Tim Decker and his Pitts Special biplane. It is a great way to connect the audience with a back story about who they will see perform.

In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is right at show-center just in front of where the headlining US Air Force Thunderbirds are parked. In this case our TopFlight.TV Aviation Channel brand is displayed at the end of a feature segment.
Mobile Jumbotron Video Display interfacing with the Thunderbirds video crew
In this images, we are working with the US Air Force video crew that travels with the Thunderbird team and records each performance. We had the opportunity to get a feed off their live switch and take the airshow audience into the Thunderbird formation, and even into the cockpit for an unparalleled real-time perspective of this exciting jet performance. The white devices their holding in the third image are directional antennas to receive the feed from the jet's on-board cameras.

In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display shows the audience the perspective looking back across one of the two solo pilots making an inverted pass.

In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is showing the audience the close proximity of the opposing pass where the other jet will zoom behind the head of the pilot with smoke-on!
Mobile Jumbotron Video Display showing LIVE split-screen feed from Thunderbird jets
In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is showing the audience a split-screen shot from two different jets. The feed on the right is one of the solo jets exiting the aerobatic box after a pass, where the feed on the left is the 4-ship diamond is approaching the aerobatic box for a formation pass.

In this image, our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is again showing the audience a split-screen shot from two different jets. The feed on the right is one of the solo jets resetting to enter the aerobatic box, where the feed on the left is the 4-ship diamond actually in the aerobatic box on a formation pass - the left-wing down on a left-hand banana pass is exactly what the audience is seeing on the screen. This was a huge event for our Mobile Jumbotron Video Display with massive deliverables for a high-impact audience visual experience. What we did not include in these images are the sponsor placements that ran in between every couple segments. We believe incorporating pre-produced video segments, along with relevant photographic content, is the very best way to grab and hold an audience's attention - versus a simple digital billboard that merely fills the visual plane with more advertisements.
We submit that consumers grow tired of the constant barrage of blatant advertising. Our approach with a Mobile Jumbotron Video Display is to nestle sponsor placements within pure content related to the event itself. Give the audience something interesting to watch, because they're not going to just sit there and watch rotating advertisements.
You can rely on THRUST! New Media to deliver an end-to-end Mobile Jumbotron Video Display solution that can even include Live Event Video Production.
